W.O.L.F. Trails - boys backpacking trip

Isle Royale National Park

Boys ages 13-15

W.O.L.F. Trails is the new name for UPBC's Isle Royale backpacking trip for boys. W.O.L.F. stands for Wilderness Opportunity to Learn/Live Faith. Isle Royale National Park is a well-kept secret, an isolated patch of rugged wilderness found in northern Lake Superior.  Every summer 8 boys and 2 leaders from UPBC have the privilege of backpacking on the island. It is a time of challenge and a time for spiritual growth.

This week-long backpacking trip is sure to create unforgettable memories: riding to the island on the Isle Royale Queen, living out of a backpack, watching for moose, pushing yourself physically, making lasting friendships, and celebrating the joys of each day over supper. This Isle Royale backpacking trip is a long-standing UPBC tradition that for many boys has been an important milestone on the path to manhood.
