C.R.O.S.S. Trails is the new name for UPBC's backpacking trip for young women. C.R.O.S.S. stands for Christian Relationships and Outdoor Spiritual Survival. This is an entry level backpacking experience for young women. The group spends five to six days in the wilderness at either Porcupine Mountains State Park or Isle Royale National Park. These parks are some of the most beautiful backpacking sites in all of North America (Backpacker Magazine). The trip is designed to teach basic and intermediate backpacking skills and techniques that enable women to get out into the woods and enjoy God's beautiful creation. Participants in this small-group camping experience will build relationships as they share the joys and trials--physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual--found on the trail. This trip will help prepare young women to face the everyday challenges they encounter in high school, college, or the early years of a professional career. |

W.O.L.F. Trails - boys backpacking trip Isle Royale National Park Boys ages 13-15 |

|
W.O.L.F. Trails is the new name for UPBC's Isle Royale backpacking trip for boys. W.O.L.F. stands for Wilderness Opportunity to Learn/Live Faith. Isle Royale National Park is a well-kept secret, an isolated patch of rugged wilderness found in northern Lake Superior. Every summer 8 boys and 2 leaders from UPBC have the privilege of backpacking on the island. It is a time of challenge and a time for spiritual growth. This week-long backpacking trip is sure to create unforgettable memories: riding to the island on the Isle Royale Queen, living out of a backpack, watching for moose, pushing yourself physically, making lasting friendships, and celebrating the joys of each day over supper. This Isle Royale backpacking trip is a long-standing UPBC tradition that for many boys has been an important milestone on the path to manhood.
